  1. Weekend Reading-Recipe Edition

    July 23, 2011 by frecklesandsunshine

I discovered tastespotting.com this week. They call themselves a visual potluck. A few of my pictures have been accepted for publication on their site. It is a fun place to discover new and interesting recipes, especially for all you Pinners out there.

These cookies look amazing. I love that they are a toffee cookie without a lick of toffee in them. Cooking is just simplified chemistry.

Sriracha has a cult-like following. These wings may make me join said cult.

If my brother’s girlfriend learns how to make these, he will marry her. The boy, who used to get a jar of Claussen pickles in his Christmas stocking every year, simply could not resist. (Just to be clear, she doesn’t need to learn how to make these, but homemade pickles wouldn’t hurt.)

I really need the Kitchen Fairy to gift me with an ice cream maker. Kitchen Fairy, my list can be found here.

Ceviche is one of my favorite summer treats. It is the antithesis of what most Americans think of as Mexican food. Light, crisp, and full of fresh veggies and seafood.

Asparagus Cheese Tarts, a perfect Meatless Monday meal, no? Also, have you ever seen asparagus in a garden? Freaky looking stuff, man.

    Go forth and eat, friends!
